STEPAN FORMULATION NO. 1120

REFERENCE FORMULATION

Following Stepan No. 1120 for controlled trials and evaluation. Source ingredients are not automatically equivalent to CMID products; material suitability must be verified before use.

OVERVIEW

Starter Formula for Water-Based All-Purpose Cleaner Trials

A formulation example for reference and trials

This is an example formulation for reference, learning and initial trials. Final results may vary with raw materials, grades, water quality, processing, production conditions and other parameters. Conduct trials and evaluation before production or scale-up.

PURPOSE

Understand the source composition and document trial results on the intended hard surface.

USE CONTEXT

Use as a reference for controlled trials. Record and evaluate ingredient identity, the actual process and results before scale-up.

SOURCE-ALIGNED PROCESS

Process / Mixing

The following sequence comes directly from the formulation process record; no additional temperature, speed, time or equipment is assumed.

  1. 01

    Initial mixture

Add Deionized Water, STEPANATE SXS and Isopropyl Alcohol.

  2. 02

    Builder and surfactant

While stirring well, slowly add Sodium Citrate and STEPANOL WA-EXTRA HP.

  3. 03

    Adjust pH

Use Citric Acid, anhydrous to adjust pH to 8–9, following the source.

  4. 04

    Cleaning ingredient

Once the mixture is clear, add BIO-SOFT EC-639.

  5. 05

    Additives

Add Fragrance, Preservative and Dye as required by the source; their amounts remain q.s.

  6. 06

    Make uniform

    Mix until uniform.

CMID EVALUATION GUIDANCE

CMID trial-recording guidance, not a testing procedure reported by Stepan.

  1. Record actual material identity and condition.
  2. Document the sequence and changes during the trial.
  3. Compare results with source data carefully.
  4. Repeat evaluation if adjustments are needed.

Source values are neither guarantees of results nor universal targets. Results may vary with actual materials and conditions.
